Great diaper!Mar 23, 2007
By Amy I bought 12 of these diapers when I decided to start using cloth diapers on my 16 month old. We have been using them for a week. I really love these diapers. We have had a couple of leaks, but it has been mostly trial and error on my part.
My tips about leaks:
-Make sure the diaper is 100% dry before you use it! They do take a lot of drying time - more than 40 minutes on high in the dryer.
-If you snap the doubler in the front, make sure it does not go to close to the waist of the diaper. This happened today and his urine went right out. Don't know why the doubler was so high up. Maybe it was for a prints and I used it in a solids. I usually use them in the back anyway.
-When you put the diaper on a wiggly baby, make sure the sewn in soaker is smoothed and in proper position.
Other notes:
-I use flushable liners since my son is on table food and is teething. For new moms, this means poo that is not solid... However, the couple of times I skipped the liner and had to clean up the diaper, a bit of toilet paper and a good rinse in the sink took care of it. Or get a diaper sprayer...
-The diapers have come out looking like new after every wash. I've only done a few washes, but so far, no stains or smell.
Drawbacks:
I personally think these will be very bulky for a newborn. But I haven't tried it either. And of course, it would depend on how big your newborn is.
If your baby has chunky thighs you will have to play with the snap settings a bit to keep him/her from getting red elastic marks on his thighs. I hear that Happy Heiny's don't have elastic leg casings and won't leave marks. Haven't tried them yet as they are sized diapers, but it's something to consider.

Attractive diaper but does not hold moisture wellMar 10, 2008

I bought a couple of these diapers after reading positive reviews on Amazon, and thinking that All-In-One is a better and more convinient option then cloth diapers with inserts. (We have twins, so dealing with inserts did not appeal to us :-)) However, after trying it for a few times, I have to report that it does not hold moisture as well as Bum Genius diaper with inserts. This one looks attractive, and it is easy to put it on, but it does not hold moisture beyond 3 hours of wear (for 8-mth-old boys). That means we could not use it overnight, while Bum Genious diaper worked just fine overnight. Also, after just 3 hours, it was soaking wet inside and my boys had a bit of rash from it. It starts to leak on the sides too. There are more absorbent AIO diapers out there and at a lower price. This one is $20, and Bum Genius is $16. I have not tried the other ones, but this one does not seem to compete as well with Bum Genius.

Great diapers!Dec 10, 2007

These diapers are my favorites, followed closely by Bumgenius. I'm a fan of AIOs and Pocket diaps, but you should know that when I ordered these I ordered the snaps AND the touchtapes, and the ones with snaps didn't come with a free insert. The ones with touchtape were all there. These diapers are pricey, but the best quality. THey dry fast and are super, super absorbent. I absolutely love them... and they are the only ones on the market to come in cute colors and designs. yay! Save all your baby money and spend it on a good set of these instead of all the other stuff your baby will outgrow in a few months.

I recomend opting for an organic or all natural diaper alternativeAug 17, 2009

When I bought these diapers I was new to cloth diapering. I have had these diapers for about 9 months. At first I really loved them. They seemed really absorbent and seemed very soft when we first got them. I had looked at an organic one size AIO but thought these would be better because the fleece was so soft. Also these were a couple dollars more a peice (though, at pinstripes and polkadots they give you a discount--the more you buy the more you save). It was very important to me to have a one size and an all in one diaper as this seemed the most economical to me.
I read the reviews and most people seemed to like these. I did read one review that said these diapers stink, which I didn't understand. I thought as long as you washed them the correct way it would be fine. So, unfortunately, I put all my eggs into one basket and ordered 15 of these diapers. And like I said they were good at first. But then they started to stink, which I thought was fine, I could simply strip them and get rid of the smell. No such luck. Every time I strip them, the shorter the time in between stripping them gets. And it is SUCH a pain to do this.
Lately I have been talking to more and more people about why my diapers stink so much. Apparently, the thing that drew me to the diapers the most--the microfiber--is the thing that does these in the most. For some reason because this is a synthetic material it holds on to bacteria and the fact that the pads in it are so thick (and absorbent) it traps the bacteria between all the layers of fleece and microfiber. They stink and do not wash clean!
Also, if you want that softness of the fleece up against your babies bottom, I understand. This helps to wick away the wetness so babies don't get rashes. I have two points about the fleece--if you want it for softness, after you wash them a million times (as you have to with diapers) the fleece really won't be any softer than the organic material in the other diapers. And in fact the organic material gets SOFTER with washes. The other point is that if you want it there to wick away the moisture from baby's bottom, you can buy liners or even just purchase some fleece at the fabric store and cut it to shape into baby's diaper.
I don't usually write reviews--but I rely upon them so much. If you want a one size AIO diaper go for the bG Organic instead. I totally wish I would have bought these before spending over 300 dollars on these diapers. Don't get stuck with stinky diapers like I am!

Quality but lacks some convenience...Oct 15, 2007
By Audra I've been trying a few AIO cloth diapers on my 1 month old daughter, and this is trial diaper 3 of 3. I am happy with the quality of construction and materials. My only gripe is with the amount of snaps and the time it takes to figure out which one goes where to ensure a proper fit. I'm not an idiot; I just would prefer something easier. My very intelligent engineer husband (who thinks I'm crazy for wanting to cloth diaper in the first place...) is even less likely to want to figure out how to use them. I would recommend the Bum Genius AIO diaper over this one--they have the same quality (with a touch of velcro), but I think are easier to use. I hope this helps.
