5Gotta love em!Dec 08, 2007
By Rivka J.
I love Snappis for securing our prefolds. They stay in place the same way the old Ace bandages did with those metal clasps, except Snappis are plastic teeth (not too sharp). I keep a couple on hand since they tend to get misplaced. They have held up without breakage (so far) for about five months (daytime only). I love how they keep the prefold tight and in place under the diaper cover or vinyl pants. I have read recommendations against tucking the prefold under the diaper cover flap since it can cause wicking of moisture with some brands, so then you either need pins/snappis or hope for the best. I have heard too many awful stories about diaper pins so I am so thankful for an alternative. An ingenious one, at that.

5Snappis are greatDec 15, 2007
By Rebecca LeFevre "becky0237"
Snappis are a great invention. They keep prefolds in place to keep the mess inside the diaper...no leaking! I usually can use one snappi for 4 months, as long as I stretch it out good before use (as directions recommend).
When I began cloth diapering I would just fold the diaper inside the cover, but as babies grow and begin to move around there comes a need to secure the diaper. Safety pins are difficult and sharp objects near baby's belly aren't a good option. The snappi is inexpensive, fairly durable, and extremely easy to use. Buy one and you'll never go back!
PS: If you are thinking of cloth diapering but haven't started yet, I highly recommend it. It's much less expensive than disposables and easier than it sounds.

5Great alternative to pins, but not very durableSep 26, 2007
By Megan A.
Snappi fasteners work quite well. We use them with prefolds, contours, and wool wrap covers. They're so much easier than pins. We pull them pretty tight, so they tend to break fairly quickly (<3 months). Even so, they're so cheap that it's not a problem to replace them often.

1The add is a little bit deceiving?Dec 04, 2008
By John
I give this product only single star, not because of the product itself, but because of the way the quantity is represented in this add. When you buy one pack, you are thinking 5 of these come to a pack, as shown? No, only ONE single snappi comes in a pack. They should make that quite clear in this add and show only ONE, with a choice of colors, not a picture of 5 of them in a stack. It is misleading. I would not have ordered just a single one at that price plus shipping if it had not looked like there were Five to the pack.

5Works like a charmMay 29, 2008

This is a good substitute for diaper pins; you can remove the fastener with one hand.
